After earning my degree from the University of Wisconsin--Whitewater, I fell in love with the small town atmosphere of Whitewater. That atmosphere is also at Whitewater High School. When someone asks 'Why Whitewater?', I say it's because of the great community of teachers and students who make this school feel small town-where everyone, from students to staff are cared for and appreciated.
This is my sixteenth year teaching at WHS. I graduated from UW-Whitewater and received a Bachelor of Science in Education in December of 2000. During the 2000-2001 school year, I student-taught at WHS and have been teaching here ever since. This year I am teaching English 9, English 10, and Modern Literature. In May of 2010, I earned my ME-PD, Master's of Education in Professional Development, from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
In addition to teaching, I also serve as sophomore class advisor and prom co-advisors, and when I am not busy at school, I stay very busy at home with my three young children.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments at the above e-mail or phone number. It's best to get a hold of me during my prep hours.
Here's to a great school year!
