Why Whitewater? Whitewater is a place with outstanding students, dedicated teachers, involved parents, and a great community.

Hello, I have been teaching mathematics to high school students for many wonderful years. It is a privilege to work with these talented young people. I also teach graduate classes for teachers around the state. I was on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Math Council for ten years. I earned my undergraduate degree at UW Madison and a Masters in Teaching Mathematics at UNH. To know more about things I will be doing or have done, click on my professional development button to the left.

I strive to have a student centered learning environment where students use technology and reasoning to discover mathematics. In class we use a Smart Board, Geometer's Sketchpad, and TI graphing calculators daily.

I am honored to be the Wisconsin recipient for the 2011 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, see the official announcement at http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/06/11/president-obama-honors-outstanding-math-and-science-teachers

Parents can view grades online and I update those every day or two.
