During my time teaching students in Whitewater, I have encountered students of diverse backgrounds who have taught me how to be a better teacher. I have worked with teachers, staff, and administrators who have shared their expertise, wisdom, and friendship. I feel lucky to to be able to do a job I love. As of the 2015 school year, I added traveling abroad with students. Our trip to Guatemala and Belize with 39 students was one of the most amazing experiences of my career and life.
After growing up in Waunakee, WI, I graduated from UW-LaCrosse with a degree in Secondary Education in Spanish and Speech. Additionally, I earned my Masters in Education from Cardinal Stritch University. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught all levels of Spanish (including middle school), Speech as well as English for the 21st Century and even some ELL courses!
In addition to teaching at WHS, I advise Spanish Club, Lead Dog. Co-advising the Senior Class, planning Homecoming activities, and the first day of school activities allow me to enjoy seeing students outside of the classroom as well.
When not at WHS, I can be found spending time with my family, reading, scrapbooking, or playing games. But I especially enjoy traveling with my family anywhere, anytime we get a chance.
