Mock Trial

Mock Trial
Mock Trial is an opportunity for high school students to learn about the American legal system. Students play a role as either a lawyer or a witness in a case provided by the Wisconsin Bar Association.

Each year a new case is devised by the Wisconsin Bar Association to challenge students to learn the law and court procedures. Mock Trial is a fun way to get to know the law.

As a lawyer, students will be expected to know the applicable laws and procedures in a courtroom. As a witness, students will be expected to memorize a witness statement and be able to ad lib a testimony.

All students will be required to attend a weekly practice from October through November. Beginning in December, students must be able to attend two practices a week. Practices for the 2015-2016 season will occur on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15-5:30. Mock Trial will also meet during the SAFT period on Thursdays.
