Speech and Language Pathologist

General Info

I am very happy to be working as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the Whitewater Unified School District for my sixth year. My family and I live in the community and love taking part in all that Whitewater has to offer.  My daughter will be a 1st grader at Lakeview Elementary this year.  Sharing the WWUSD experience with her is very exciting!  I enjoy scrapbooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends. During my time here, I have provided speech and language services to students at the High School, Elementary School, and Preschool levels.  This year, I will be the speech therapist for 9th - 12th grade students at Whitewater High School and 3-6 year old students in Early Childhood, 4-K, and Kindergarten at Lakeview Elementary School.  WHS is a community that I take pride in.  I hold leadership roles as a Prom Co-Advisor and a member of the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Team. The students, families, and staff I have had the joy to work with make this job a great one.

I believe that having positive and collaborative relationships with university programs can be extremely valuable for everyone involved.  I enjoy supervising, sharing, and learning from the wonderful students and staff that are part of the UWW Communicative Sciences & Disorders Department.  First semester, I will be mentoring Jenna Sargent.  She is a graduate student working towards her masters degree.  She is excited to learn the roles and responsibilities of school based speech/language pathology.
