The Wisconsin Promise project is a USDOE funded grant for youth with disabilities ages 14, 15 and 16 years old who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI).  Wisconsin Promise provides services to youth and family members to help them achieve their individual employment and education goals. The services help youth enrollees to achieve better outcomes, including but limited to high school graduation, college and a career readiness, job development and placement, and competitive employment in an integrated setting. As a result, we anticipate the youth SSI recipients will achieve better post school outcomes and over time decrease their reliance on SSI.
