Awesome day musky fishing with my favorite guide!
Why Whitewater?

Whitewater High School is the school at which I always yearned to teach since earning my degree in 1988. Privileged to have taught in three other wonderful districts, I worked with gifted and generous instructors who helped me craft this profession we call teaching. I remain grateful to them for their encouragement and support.
However, Whitewater High School is extraordinary. Talented and dedicated educators challenge me to continue growing and crafting my profession. A skilled maintenance staff always “lends a hand” no matter how busy their day. Experienced technical personnel quickly address any computer issues. Administrators encourage and support new ideas. An accessible School Board listens to and endorses proposals.
And Whitewater students…students who work with me, challenge me, laugh with me, and learn from me…young adults with busy lives but people who still find the time to offer a smile, relate a story, or share triumphs or struggles.
Why Whitewater? Because it feels like home.

I teach English Honors 10, English 11, Speech, British Literature, Creative Writing, and AP Language and Composition . This is the start of my twenty-eighth year teaching and my seventeenth year at Whitewater High School. Previous to WHS I taught at St. Jerome School in Oconomowoc, Wheatland Center School in Burlington, and Big Foot High School in Walworth. I earned both my BSE and MST from UW-Whitewater. In my "free" time I enjoy reading, cross stitching, traveling, musky fishing, going to movies, and spending time with my husband, Brian, and our golden retrievers, Lucy and Chance. If you have questions or need to set up an appointment, please call my office number and leave a message or email your request.
