NHS Members Give Back to School and Community

National Honor Society members at Whitewater High School have been giving back to their school and community through service projects at home this month! Chemistry Students Celebrate Earth Day

Little Mermaid Cast and Crew Members Win Jerry Awards

Congratulations to the cast and crew members of "The Little Mermaid" for winning 2020 Jerry Awards. Lauren Harkness (Ariel) and Carter Waelchli (Ursula) won for Outstanding Lead Performers. Emma Van Daele, Josie Hintz, and Hailey Long won for Outstanding Stage Management. Emma was also this years' Spirit Award winner. Lauren, Carter, and Emma will get a chance to show off their talents and represent WHS during the award ceremony on June 7. This year, the show will be presented through video submissions. Top Ten Ranked Students in Class of 2020 Recognized

The Rock Valley Conference Top 10 Banquet is usually held every May to celebrate the top 10 graduating seniors from each school. These top 10 academically ranked students from each school are invited to this annual event, along with their parents. Athletic Field Lights Turned on to Honor Spring Athletes

On Friday night, April 17, from 7:00 - 7:30 pm, the lights at the Whitewater High School athletic fields were turned on to honor our spring sport athletes who are missing out on their spring seasons. This gesture was part of the #BeTheLight movement to shine a light on our spring sport athletes and to provide a message of support and hope. Community members were encouraged to drive through the parking lot and honk their horns.


WHS Hosts Virtual Spirit Week April 13-17

Congratulations to our Spirit Week gift card winners! Each time a student submitted a photo of themselves dressed for our Virtual Spirit Week dress day and for each square they completed in the Quarantine Quest, their name was entered in to the drawing. Spanish I Students Make Empanadas as Weekend Project

Last Wednesday was National Empanada day. Empanadas are a Spanish or Latin-American pastry turnover filled with savory ingredients that are either baked or fried.
