Whitewater High School students volunteered at the UW Whitewater/Community and UWW Student Optimist Club’s annual Breakfast with Santa. The event was held on Saturday morning, December 2, in UW Whitewater’s Esker Hall. Those who attended were treated to a breakfast and a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Many students were also able to meet some of their elves, and even Frosty the Snowman. Members of the WHS choir under the direction of Mrs. Karen Tordera sang Christmas carols throughout the morning. This event marked the 25th year of celebrating Breakfast with Santa. A Mitten Tree was also created so those who attended could place donations for the local school district children in need. Community members decorated the tree with new and unused mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and children's underwear. A special thank you for all those members who made donations at the event.
