Congratulations to William Hofmann, a freshman US History student at WHS. Will has qualified for National History Day Nationals held in Washington DC from June 10-14. National History Day is an academic enrichment program for students in grades 6-12. Students select topics connected to an annual theme and complete their own in-depth research on the topic. This year, the annual theme is “Conflict and Compromise”. Students present their conclusions by creating museum style exhibits, media documentaries, research papers, interactive websites, and dramatic performances. Will entered the competition in the dramatic performance category and will have the opportunity to perform in front of a national audience at the national competition in June. Will's performance is titled, "The Execution of George Stinney." Congratulations, and good luck, Will!
