On Thursday, November 29, Spanish Club kicked off its annual tamale fundraising event. Students taste tested the two kinds of tamales the club sells. For several students, it was the first time they had ever tried tamales, and they were definitely a big hit. Spanish Club has designated the proceeds from the fundraiser to go toward purchasing a goat for a family in Central America. The members liked the idea of doing an international service project this year. Tamale sales will continue through December 7 and can be picked up from Ms. Kate McNulty's room December 20 after school.
