Wildlife Students Learn Survival Skills
Wildlife Firestarting

Students in Mr. Paul Majors’ Wildlife Class recently studied a unit on survival skills. Pictured left to right are Katherine Donner, Abigail Wilberding, and Anais Engele next to the fire they started. Students were required to start their fire on snow and follow the guidelines they learned. In order to be a quality fire, it needed to be sufficient enough to be able to start and maintain a 3 to 6-inch diameter log.
