On Saturday afternoon, a group of SADD students went shopping to fill up shoe boxes for local kids in need for the holidays. The shoe boxes are for a project called Operation Christmas Child. One of our local churches is partnering in this project and asked families to help. With generous donations from the Walters and Kilar families, we were able to fill 19 shoe boxes with toys, hygiene products, and school supplies. The children receiving the boxes are unable to get these necessities on their own. Our students not only had a lot of fun shopping for these kiddos but also truly appreciate the meaning of giving back.
